Welcome to the Interviews page. To read interviews I have had recently go to the bottom of the page and click on the link. I will be interviewing an author or editor every month, so look out for announcements of who will be featured here. This month I interviewed talented author Ciarra Sims.

Kyla: Welcome, Ciarra. Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed by me. =) Can you tell us about your latest release?

Ciarra: Thank you for having me. My latest release is titled Possession Obsession from Changeling Press. In it, Chloe has inherited a trunk of lingerie that has a mind of its own. Chloe's old high school crush is now a rock star and Chloe's new found sexy image encourages her to try and capture his heart. Unfortunately she gets more than she bargains for. It's a contemporary erotic romance with paranormal elements and even a vampire cult thrown in for a little extra fun.

Kyla: Tell us what drew you to write erotic romance. Would you like to try something different with your writing? If you would, what would that be?

Ciarra: I began reading those harmless Harlequin and Regency romances, but suddenly I wanted to see inside the bedroom. I wanted a no hold's barred read… I then thought hey, maybe I'll try my hand at writing these lusty tales. It took a great deal of studying the craft and practice to get the mechanics of writing down, but I think I have the basics to tell a decent er… make that indecent sexy story with a little edge to separate me from other writers. I always go against the norm so it's an uphill battle sometimes but with persistence I've managed to get my books out there.

I always try to write something different so I don't fall into a formulaic rut. I think Sci-Fi is a realm I haven't given a shot at. It's definitely on my list for the future. I seem to go in phases… My last mania was Horror and I really enjoy scaring myself not to mention readers. Plus the imagination is a wonderful thing where horror is concerned. You can feed on fears you keep hidden and bring them to life. I get excited just thinking of things that are scary.

Kyla: Would you like to tell us what you are working on just now?

Ciarra: Sequels and more sequels. I may just be the slowest writer on the planet so when an editor says, can you write a sequel, I almost have to start immediately on finishing the first of the series because I am THAT slow! LOL. I am working on the sequel to Changeling's Nature of the Beast and Ellora Cave's Felidaen series. I have many other things in various stages but if I talk about them I get carried away and begin writing and of course that delays those sequels. The muse is a contrary wench, she wants to work on things that are not top priority and trying to harness her to a set schedule is darned hard! LOL.

Kyla: You hold a very successful event each Friday on our Changeling Readers loop, can you tell us more about it please?

Ciarra: Ooh that would be the Ciarra Sims is Easy on Friday contests. It's a whole day of very hot excerpts from the various Changeling authors, plus fun facts and wacky news events. Sex talk and general rowdiness and always a contest or two or three for prizes and Changeling downloads. You never know who will drop by and chat and don't get me started on some of the topics…from sex toys to favorite positions and all things in between. It's a potpourri of lust and eroticism. LOL Plus everyone is so nice and easy to talk to, it's like a social party where any topic goes…and did I mention the extra hot Changeling excerpts? Uh-huh, I did, but it bears repeating.

Kyla: Tell us who your favourite authors are, do you have any recommendations about books we just have to read?

Ciarra: To even begin will boggle my mind. I have read so many terrific authors that I am afraid to miss any. But right off the top of my head, Ann Jacobs and Kate Douglas, Isabella Jordan, a wicked wench named Samantha Winston and this new comer with a flair for erotica that sizzles…Let's see what is her name…. Oh yes, Kyla Logan… Maybe you know of her?

Kyla: Please tell us where we can purchase your fabulous books and where we can find out all about your latest news.

Ciarra: Well my website is a great place to start… www.ciarrasims.com. It lists my books and a link to find them along with blurbs to see if they warm the cockles of the heart or some other part of the body…LOL That's another perk to writing erotic tales, your mind gravitates towards the naughty and you walk around with a wicked grin. If you ever see an author's picture and they are not smiling a devilish smirk, then I guarantee that author is not writing erotica.
