Welcome to the Interviews page, I will be interviewing an author or editor every month, so look out for announcements of who will be featured here. This month I interviewed sensational author Dee S. Knight.

Kyla: Welcome, Dee. Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed by me. =) Would you like to tell us what you are working on just now?

Dee: Hi, Kyla. Thanks for inviting me to share with your fans-it's a pleasure to be here.

Right now, I'm working on a mystery erotic romance. The working title is Cyber-Kill because the victims are found online. To tell the truth, this is all new to me-the suspense worked in with the romance-and I'm feeling my way with it, but it's interesting to explore new ways of writing.

Although I'm not working on it right now, I just finished a short story for the Taurus book in Liquid Silver's Zodiac series. Each sign of the zodiac will have its own book comprised of two authors and will be released in the month of that sign. That means Taurus will be released in April. The series will start in March with Aries.

My story is called Safe Sex. My hero owns a bank in Nevada, and the heroine happens to be a bank robber. They come together (so to speak, lol) during a robbery, when they get trapped in the safe, where they have…. It's a cute story, and I hope readers like it.

Your fans might be interested to know that three or four of the zodiac books have only one author right now. Liquid Silver is going to have a contest to find writers to fill those slots. The contest will be announced on the Liquid Silver forum (called SiN) at www.lsbooks.net.

Kyla: Your latest book was co-authored by Francis Drake. Can you tell us what made you decide to write a book with your husband?

Dee: Your Desire wasn't a conscious decision, we just kind of fell into the concept. Francis dabbled in writing long before I got interested in it, and he's my sounding board for everything I do. One day he mentioned he might try a story where people found just what they needed to make them happy in a magic shop. It sounded like such fun, I asked him if I could write part of the book, too, and he graciously suggested we each write a story. Well, okay, I had to bribe him, but that's beside the point. =)

The Artist and the Director is about a woman who finds a ball gown for her office party. Because of the magical gown, she's mistaken for someone else, and the mistake changes her life. In my story, Awards Night, a nurse finds an injured man and her magical dress helps bring them together for an even more magical night.

Kyla: What is your favourite genre to write in and why?

Dee: I really enjoy writing erotic romance. My books focus on the romance a bit more than the erotic, I think, but adding that little extra spice is fun.

I like romance because I really do believe in true love. I like writing something that perpetuates the idea that love can last through the ages. Sex is certainly part of the loving relationship. In fact, they enhance each other. I hope that belief comes through in my books.

Kyla: Is there anything different that you would like to try with your writing?

Dee: Yes, I'm doing it now with Cyber-Kill. I'm trying to expand the storyline and add a new layer with suspense. It's not easy, lol. Fortunately, I have two wonderful friends, Leigh Wyndfield and Jennifer Skully (aka JB Skully who understands suspense very well as you know from her Max Starr mystery series), who are helping me. They're both fabulous authors who know their craft and are very generous with advice.

Kyla: Tell us who your favourite authors are, do you have any recommendations about books we just have to read?

Dee: Favorite authors? I like Linda Howard, Suzanne Brockman and Tami Hoag. I read anything Nelson DeMille writes, I like Tom Clancy, Frederick Forsyth and PG Wodehouse, as well as Jane Austen.

Now, one of my favourite writers (as well as favourite people) is in print: HQN has just released a new book from Jennifer Skully, Sex and the Serial Killer. I highly recommend that book-it's suspenseful, romantic, humorous and very sexy! I know your fans will love it!

Kyla: Please tell us where we can purchase your fabulous books and where we can find out all about your latest news.

Dee: All of my work is through Liquid Silver Books right now www.lsbooks.com. Impatient Passion is available in print at Booksurge.com or Amazon.com. The anthologies with my stories are also available in print through Booksurge.com or Amazon.com, Resolutions, Ain't Your Mama's Bedtime Stories and Afternoon Delights (which also has another of Francis' stories). I believe Passionate Destiny and Your Desire will be in print this spring.

I'd love for readers to visit my website-www.deesknight.com-where they can read excerpts and then use the links to purchase books that sound interesting to them. There are other fun things on my site; right now About Dee has a short (but revealing) interview with Francis Drake, lol.

I also have a newsletter that I'd love your readers to explore. There's a link to subscribe on the website, or people can go directly using http://www.deesknight.com/Newsletter/submitForm.htm.

Kyla, thanks so much for this chance to meet your readers and fans!

Thank you to Dee for her interview answers.

Kyla
